Perfect time to be in NYC . Wont be crazy hot , but luckily this year hasnt been particularly too hot all over USA:-) Hope you get to enjoy the madness of the city and are not just going to be there tucked away someplace working your bones off. Have a fun trip:-)

@Ranjitha: it will be pure pleasure! got lots of groupons for interesting activities and those are paid so never mind $ vs € is not going well for Dutchies right now
and no, not crazy hot, but as I've been oin NYC virtually again for some time now, I do realise I miss out on some crazy summer activities ^_^

May you have a relaxed trip and enjoy every moment of it. Hoping the weather will be nice too - had been cool up here in Toronto this month of July, I believe it is better down in NYC.

My recommendations of must dos' in NYC - Melissa's mini cup cakes, dumplings at Buddhakahn ( meat packing district restaurant) ,Broadway show ( phantom of the opera, wicked and cinderella being my most favorite ) ,all day spent at natural history museum, picnic at central park and shopping just about anywhere and everywhere in NYC:-) Assuming you are going to be doing all the other typical touristy things anyways. There are a lot museums you can visit in Newyork on certains days of the week when it is absolutely free, so check it out before you buy the tickets ahead of time:-)Have a blast , it will be a lot of fun:-)

@Ranjitha, this will be my 7th visit in about 5 years, so I won't actually be doing many of the stereotype touristy things ^_^.... nor will I do a lot of shopping ... (although visits to both Kinokunya and Bookoff are a must, obviously!!)
As for shows, I've seen Wicked twice and loved it ... this time, I shelled out for a ticket for Book of Mormon and am hoping to catch 'It's only a Play' as well, among others ....
I love the Morgan Library, which is free Friday evenings .... i'll be getting a groupon for the Museum on Eldridge in a few days as well ^_^
as for other activities .... I'll jot them down here as I go .... (can't wait, really ....)

Let me know what you think of book of mormon, hear its over rated.Good , you wont be consumed by the typical touristy things in NYC. I do rem u mentioning trips to New York before . If you decide to head down south to Atlanta, give me a shout:-) Enjoy your stay in New York , one of fav cities here in the US after Seattle, San Diego and Chicago :-)

LOL ... I've been to Chicago, but it didn't do all that much for me .... I did some walks around the old town and the rich part ... couldn't see the lake as it was pouring ... did the CAF tour, which was interesting .... but it lacked any vibes the way New York has! This time, Boston will get the once over ....

As for Book of Mormon ... I've been arranging all my groupons and coupons today and noticed that BoM cost me 180$ !!?? .... couldn't believe it myself!
It had better be VERY good! ^_^

Heel goed, want 2016 is wel errug ver weg! en met de wereld zoals ie is, moeten we er maar van genieten zolang het kan .... ik kijk er naar uit om verhalen neer te kunnen zetten, ben echt de dagen aan het tellen ... nog eventjes ^_^

Zo, we zijn alweer/weeral thuis.

Ja, en de weersverwachting staat nog op 30 graden ^_^ ...
dat soort weer kan ik me nu even niet voorstellen, maar er gaan heerlijk zomerkleren in de koffer, straks!

Hoi, zo nog eventjes en je vliegt weg naar NY.... heerlijk weer lees ik...
Ik hoop dat je een gave tijd hebt daar met veel bijzondere dingen te zien, te ontmoeten en mee te maken.. (is dit wel goed ABN?) Het komt erop neer natuurlijk dat ik je een hele fijne tijd wens.... Goeie reis de 3e (KLM, dat moet lekker gaan) en ik kijk uit naar je verhalen en foto's.
